Barbados is the most easterly island in the Caribbean, and is just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide. With a relatively flat landscape, excellent infrastructure and reliable and varied transportation system, it is easy to explore the many activities and things to do in the gem of the Caribbean.

ST. LAWRENCE GAP – 5 MINUTES
The St. Lawrence Gap, fondly referred to as "The Gap", is arguably the most popular spot on the island with excellent restaurants offering a range of prices to fit every pocket; vibrant nightlife, lively bars and you can do a bit of souvenir shopping too!
OISTINS – 5 MINUTES
Oistins is a fishing village, which is transformed on Friday nights into the place to be, with Caribbean music playing, local rum flowing and an extensive array of colourful shacks serving the most authentic Caribbean food at just US$10 - $15 a plate! Oistins, is great for meeting, mixing, mingling and partying the night away in true Caribbean style. Ask about our Friday night shuttle to Oistins!
BRIDGETOWN – 20 MINUTES
Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados and was recently designated a World Heritage site. Aside from having enormous historical significance, with the third oldest parliament buildings and the oldest Jewish synagogue in the western hemisphere as well as a statue of Lord Nelson, which predates the Trafalgar Square statue in London, Bridgetown offers excellent duty free shopping, especially on jewellery, fragrances and liquor. Remember you will need your “departure card” and your passport or other ID, to take advantage of duty free prices! There is a complimentary shuttle to Bridgetown Mondays to Saturdays. One-day advance sign-up is required.
BARBADOS GOLF CLUB – 10 MINUTES
Barbados is recognized as a world-renowned golf destination, and Bougainvillea is a part owner of the Barbados Golf Club. Along with the sun and sea, you can enjoy the beautiful and challenging 72 par, 18-hole championship course, redesigned by Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. Bougainvillea guests enjoy discounted green fees and preferential tee-times.
THE HISTORIC GARRISON AREA AND GARRISON SAVANNAH RACE TRACK – 15 MINUTES
Functioning as a British Garrison for some 126 years, this facility was in fact the first Garrison of the West Indies. Today, perhaps its main focal point is the Garrison Savannah, which is Barbados’ only horse racing track. Horse racing takes place most Saturdays and is an exciting way to spend the day and maybe try the odds!
THE BARBADOS MUSEUM – 15 MINUTES
You can discover the history and culture of Barbados with a visit to the Barbados Museum, which is located in the Historic Garrison Area.
GEORGE WASHINGTON HOUSE – 15 MINUTES
The young George Washington and his ailing brother Lawrence resided in this historic plantation house, also known as Bush Hill House, for two months in 1751. Barbados was the only country ever visited by the future “First Father” of his country, and Bush Hill House the only house he ever lived in outside of the continental United States. The house has been beautifully restored and is well worth a visit. George Washington House is located in the Historic Garrison Area.
SHERATON MALL – 5 MINUTES
Sheraton Mall is a shopping and entertainment complex with approximately 120 stores, services and eateries along with the only multiplex cinema on the island.
