On February 17th 1627 the first European settlers arrived at the site of the present day Holetown. The Holetown Festival is held every February to commemorate this historic event and includes many festivities such as church services, music and dancing, a street fair and market showcasing many varieties of Bajan food, arts and crafts, as well as parades and organized sports.
